A Day in the Life of a Start-up CMO is a co-hosted event by the Booth Marketing Club and Built@Booth.

Objective: Leave Booth student attendees with a good understanding of what it means to be a CMO at a smaller organization, and how the marketing function provides value.

Key questions include:
- what does a day in the life of the CMO look like? what are typical day to day responsibilities?
- what are the key competencies and skills required?
- how does running a marketing organization at a start-up or smaller firm differ from traditional CPG marketing?
- what does a CMO bring to a start-up that other functions cannot provide? what are the most important marketing tools necessary for a start-up?
- At what point should a start-up hire a CMO?
