Chris Pattinson is the Vice President of Finance for the $2B Laboratory Products Division of Thermo Fisher Scientific and has held this position since April 2015. Chris brings over 16 years of finance experience and 10 years of operations experience to this role where he is responsible for providing financial leadership and oversight of the division P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
Chris joined Thermo Fisher Scientific via the acquisition of Life Technologies where he lead the corporate finance organization from 2010 to 2014 and was the finance lead for the $15B sale of the corporation to Thermo Fisher. Prior to this, Chris was the Finance Director for the Molecular Biology Reagents business at Life Technologies as the company scaled from $0.7B to nearly $4B.in annual sales.
Before transitioning into finance, Chris spent 10 years in manufacturing operations where he held positions in Production Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Supervision, and Manufacturing Engineering working in GMP vaccine manufacturing with Merck & Co, and in steel manufacturing with AB SKF.
Chris holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette College, and an MBA in Finance & Economics from the University of Chicago.
