Mr. Kiesel is CIO Global Credit and a managing director in the Newport Beach office. He is a member of the Investment Committee, a generalist portfolio manager and the global head of corporate bond portfolio management, with oversight for the firm’s investment grade, high yield, bank loan, municipal and insurance business as well as credit research and PIMCO's actively managed equity business. Morningstar named him Fixed-Income Fund Manager of the Year in 2012 and a finalist in both 2010 and 2017. He has written extensively on the topic of global credit markets, founded the firm’s Global Credit Perspectives publication and regularly appears in the financial media. He joined PIMCO in 1996 and previously served as PIMCO's global head of investment grade corporate bonds and as a senior credit analyst. He has 28 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.

Prior to joining William Blair, Alaina was a Senior Analyst in the Investments Department of the MacArthur Foundation. Alaina is the former president of the Chicago Booth School of Business Black Alumni Association, was a 2014 Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow and now serves on the board of the Leadership Fellows Association of Leadership Greater Chicago. She is also a member of the William Blair Community Impact Steering Committee and a co-chair of the professional development committee of William BlairÔÇÖs WomenÔÇÖs Initiative Network.

Alaina graduated from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics and earned her M.B.A. from Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in analytic finance and economics. She was awarded the CFA charter in 2006.

Julie Austin is responsible for overseeing the fixed income investment managers in BoeingÔÇÖs ~$60 billion pension plan and ~$45 billion 401(k) plan. The fixed income mandates range from long duration to stable value to private lending (e.g., mezzanine and distressed). She also closely monitors the hedge between the fixed income assets and the pension liability.

Julie joined BoeingÔÇÖs Trust Investments team in 2010 as senior manager of risk management, where she worked on total fund risk analytics, futures-based asset rebalancing, asset performance, liability returns, and liquidity. Prior to Boeing, Julie was the director of research at The Marco Consulting Group, where she managed a 15-person research team, oversaw investment manager due diligence across all asset classes, and developed market commentary and educational presentations. She started her finance career at Morningstar, where she held various data and research roles. Julie received her MBA with honors from the University of Chicago and she is a CFA charterholder.

As a Portfolio Manager, Mary Phillips is responsible for order generation, which requires balancing trade-offs between trading costs, market structure, and the dimensions of higher expected returns targeted in the portfolios. She also works to continuously improve the investment process by reducing costs and increasing efficiency and meets with existing and prospective clients to discuss Dimensional's investment approach. Mary earned an MBA with concentrations in analytic finance, statistics and econometrics, and managerial and organizational behavior from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She also holds the CFA designation and completed a BA in business administration at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. Prior to business school, Mary spent seven years at Russell Investments in Tacoma, WA where she worked most recently as a Portfolio Manager in equity derivatives. In that role, Mary constructed and executed derivatives solutions for public and private pensions as well as the Russell Funds.

Joshua Mangoubi is responsible for the investment decisions and portfolio allocation of the Adviser along with Robert J. Sanborn.

He joined the firm in its inaugural year and has over ten years of professional investing experience at Sanborn Kilcollin Partners, LLC. While performing investment research, Mr. Mangoubi has also been instrumental in the operational management of the Advisor and has served as Chief Compliance Officer.

He is a firm believer in value investing as a strategy to achieve better risk-adjusted returns. While at the firm, he has developed proprietary valuation models for security analysis with a focus on intrinsic value and forensic accounting. He utilizes quantitative research to help screen for potential price to value discrepancies and qualitative research to evaluate the company and industry structure.

Mr. Mangoubi holds a Bachelor of Science from University of Kansas (2001) and an MBA with High Honors from the University of Chicago (2009).

Karen Dolan is head of marketing for Dimensional. She leads marketing initiatives across the global organization, which includes working closely with Dimensional's executives, investment teams, and sales leaders to effectively portray Dimensional's philosophy and investment offering to clients and prospects. Karen joined Dimensional's Financial Advisor Services group in June 2012 and assumed her current position in February 2013.

Prior to joining Dimensional, Karen worked at Morningstar for nearly 10 years in several posts. In her last four years there, she served as director of mutual fund analysis, overseeing management and strategic direction for Morningstar's team of mutual fund analysts in the United States and Canada. She was a frequent speaker at Morningstar and industry events, as well as a regular participant in the media.

Karen is a CFA Charterholder and obtained her BA from the University of Michigan in 2002. She earned an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2008.
