What is a Journey of Generosity (JOG)?
A Journey of Generosity is a retreat designed to begin a conversation around generosity from a biblical perspective. It is called a Journey of Generosity (JOG) because we are all on our own journeys and it is invaluable to come together to encourage each other along the way. All JOGs are solicitation-free environments.

We’d love to have you join us for a weekend where we explore the power of generosity! Generous Giving hosts free events that help explore the topic of generosity without asking for anything in return. At the Journey of Generosity (JOG) retreat, we will watch video stories, engage in personal Bible study, have focused solitude time, and participate in authentic conversations with our friends about what generosity means (with time, money, and more).

Most conversations about giving end with an ask for money. This one doesn’t. And this is an amazing time (during business school before we jump back into the working world) to spend time in community reflecting on how we hope to be generous.

This year’s JOG retreat will be held on April 26th (5~9pm) to April 27th (9am~12pm) hosted by Generous Giving & Chicago Booth Christians in Business at an AirBnB located in Chicago (you can stay overnight at AirBnB or commute from your home as you’d like). Daniel Huizinga (Chicago Booth Class of 2022) will be facilitating our conversation throughout the retreat. We’ll have free food & beverages catered so anyone can just come for a conversation on what it means to be generous.
