Learn About Gleacher Center !

Do you want to understand the Energy Management system for Gleacher Center? Do you want to know why there are no windows in our classrooms? Have you ever wondered about our lovely building's design and construction? Do you have a casual (or professional) interest in architecture, design, or building engineering? If you've answered yes to any of the above questions, then this might be the event for you.

Please join us as the Chicago Booth Energy Club hosts Dirk Lohan, Principal at Wight & Company. Mr. Lohan is a Chicago-based architect that the university engaged to design the Gleacher Center. We are also pleased to welcome Craig Schuttenberg, the former Director of Energy Management at the University of Chicago. These two speakers will discuss the building's design and construction, and will share some stories that you will be surprised to learn about our humble home.

Dirk Lohan

Dirk Lohan is a Principal at Wight & Company, an architectural firm based in Chicago. He also happens to be the grandson and protégé of the late Mies van der Rohe, a famous architect whose work still looms large in our Chicago skyline.

Craig Schuttenberg

Craig Schuttenberg is a Senior Consultant at Satori Energy, and was formerly the Director of Energy Management for the University of Chicago at the time of the Gleacher Center's design and construction.
