The 2019 conference will discuss how we must lead in the most turbulent of times, & how successful next generation leaders will be masters of change and resilience. Leadership in the 21st century will be impacted by geopolitical volatility, technological disruptions, & economic & political uncertainty. Mastering & staying on the top of these major forces of change will be the defining characteristics of next generation leaders.

Since 1985, the DuSable Conference remains one of the longest running student led conferences at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Past conferences have featured prominent speakers such as the Honorable Harold Washington, Reverend Jesse Jackson, John Rogers, James Bell, Martin Nesbitt (MBA '89), & many more.

The conference provides a platform for African American Booth students, alumni, and leadership across the city of Chicago, unveiling insights from those who have had a profound impact in business and service nationally and globally. Attendees learn from & are inspired by:
- Shared stories of success & failure, including navigating challenges & pitfalls
unique to members of the Community;
- Perspectives on global economic and social trends & how the Community can
not only participate, but lead; &
- Messages of sacrifice & service for the Community.
