In these extraordinary times, food (eating!) has become a source of comfort and entertainment more than ever before.  We’re all cooking up a storm, getting tons of take-out, and cracking open bottles of wine.  Join Madeline Triffon, MS of Plum Market as she shares her best tips on how to match your favorite dishes with wine.  We’ll taste 2 very different wines, brut Champagne and Cabernet Sauvignon, and reveal how to get the most pleasure out of each one.  We’ll play a pairing game, matching the wines with food components (salty, tart, spicy, sweet, bitter).  Some of the combinations will be ideal, some will be more controversial.

We'll provide the wine and a tasting chart, we recommend you have the following snacks on hand for the full tasting experience:

·        BBQ Potato chips, spicy-hot! (small bag)

·        Slice lemon (1)

·        Shortbread cookie or small cupcake, not chocolate (1)

·        Semi-hard cheese – mild cheddar or manchego (2 pieces)

·        Meat (roast beef or hamburger, no spices, 1 piece)     

·        Dark chocolate, high cocoa content (2 pieces)

·        2 wine glasses, one water glass

Pickups will be Sunday, March 7th from 4:30-5:30 at Kiki's, MPP 3505.
