Founded in 2015, the University of Chicago Graduate China Forum is an important and influential China-themed global conference.
Adhering to the University of Chicago’s motto “Crescat scientia; vita excolatur” (“Let knowledge grow from more to more; and so be human life enriched”, we hope to establish the forum as a platform that encourages open, friendly, and comprehensive dialogues, and to foster a cooperative, trusting, and constructive U.S.-China relationship. The University of Chicago China Forum aims to function as an important hub for U.S.-China relations and to help audiences from all backgrounds to gain unique insights into the challenges and opportunities going forward.

JIA Qingguo 贾庆国
Professor and former Dean of the School of International Studies of Peking University. Director of the Institute for Global Cooperation and Understanding, and the Director of Global Governance at the Peking University.
Xiaoxi Lin
Xiaoxi is a corporate partner with Linklaters in Hong Kong. Xiaoxi advises prolifically on mergers and acquisitions and also has significant experience advising on transactions in the technology sector. He has extensive experience advising private equity and investment fund clients on their most complex and strategic transactions, including control and leveraged buyouts, minority investments and public takeovers.
Ke Tong
Partner at JunHe LLP. Mr. Tong has advised on both cross-border and domestic M&A as well as multiple other capital market investments for both both private and public companies, including IPOs. Prior to JunHe he was at Skadden, Arps LLP and started his career at Brown & Wood LLP (Sidley LLP).
Kejun Guo
Equity Partner at Zhong Lun Law Firm LLP. Mr. Guo’s practice focuses on domestic and overseas IPO, refinancing of listed companies, major asset restructuring of listed companies, fundraising and investment of private equity funds, restructuring of state-owned enterprises, bond issuance, wealth management, and other fields.
Roger Zhang
Vice President of Public Affairs at Tencent. Before Tencent, Roger worked for international and domestic clients on antitrust at a law firm. He was a Fulbright visiting scholar at George Washington University and a visiting researcher at the Competition Law Center of GWU. He currently serves as the senior expert for the China-EU Competition Week program.
Adrian Lo
Associate Partner at the Mckinsey & Company. Co-leader of China MedTech service line and digital and analytics in Asia Healthcare. He also co-leads the collaboration with QuantumBlack (AI by McKinsey) on digital and analytics in healthcare in Asia, where he has applied cross-functional analytics and tech expertise to transform commercial engagement within life sciences. He has also led multiple digital business building design efforts with leading life sciences organizations on patient-facing engagement and tech-enabled ecosystems. Adrian has published many articles on China MedTech, including co-author of China MedTech reports at Biocentury China Healthcare Summit (2020-2021), and is a regular speaker at industry forums such as APACMed. Adrian is from Hong Kong and holds a B.A. from Yale University.
Ue-yu Pen
Director of AI/ML and Applied Physics at the Department of Pathology, Duchossois Family Institute, Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering, Center for the Physics of Evolving Systems, at The University of Chicago & UChicago Medicine. Before starting his position at UChicago, Ue-yu was invited by the Co-Founder & Chief Scientific Officer of Evozyne Inc, an NVIDIA-funded AI-biotech UChicago-spinoff company, to lead the R&D project collaborating with NVIDIA, Takeda Pharmaceuticals., UChicago, and Northwestern U for developing novel generative AI architectures for protein engineering. The work has demonstrated a significant impact on the drug discovery sector, and was invited to the NVIDIA GTC 2024 and Bio-IT 2024 presentations.
Jun (Leon) Tang
Leon ‘Jun’ Tang, PhD is the founding partner of InScienceWeTrust BioAdvisory, a business development company focused on the East-West cross-border partnerships in the pharmaceutical industry. Dr. Tang is also the founder of InScienceWeTrust Community, which has more than 2,000+ members from Asian biotech community.
