Founded in 2015, the University of Chicago Graduate China Forum is an important and influential China-themed global conference.
Adhering to the University of Chicago’s motto “Crescat scientia; vita excolatur” (“Let knowledge grow from more to more; and so be human life enriched”, we hope to establish the forum as a platform that encourages open, friendly, and comprehensive dialogues, and to foster a cooperative, trusting, and constructive U.S.-China relationship. The University of Chicago China Forum aims to function as an important hub for U.S.-China relations and to help audiences from all backgrounds to gain unique insights into the challenges and opportunities going forward.

Hang Zhou
The founder of Chinese ride-hailing platform Yidao Yongche. Later Mr. Zhou has become the chairman of Caocao Mobility. Famous Venture Capitalist.
Yunlan Zhang
Yunlan Zhang, Chairman of Qingdao Kutesmart Co., Ltd., graduated from the University of Northern British Columbia in Canada. Currently, she holds various positions in social and industry organizations, including Executive Chairman of the 4th Council of the Textile & Garment Chamber of Commerce (TGCC), Member of the Youth Entrepreneurs Committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Standing Committee Member of the 14th Shandong Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, one of the first batch of Economic Advisors appointed by the Qingdao Municipal Government, Vice Chairperson of the Qingdao Federation of Industry and Commerce, Expert Mentor for Qingdao Entrepreneurship City Construction, and President of Qingdao Branch of Qingdao-Shenzhen Women Entrepreneurs Association.
Edward Yu
President and CEO of Analysys International Edward Yu is a member of the expert panel in the China Consulting Association, visiting professor of the school of software at Beihang University, honorary tutor of the Youth Development Project for postgraduates at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and enterprise mentor at the Asia America MultiTechnology Association (AAMA). With almost 20 years of research experience in the TMT industry, Yu -- as a famous orator, observer and manager in the field -- is very well-connected in China’s Internet, media, technology and telecommunications circle. As the CEO of an established third-party information service provider, he is often invited to address influential national or international TMT summit forums, providing credibility to those events. He also serves as a strategic consultant and independent director for many enterprises, including those in the technology, finance, manufacturing and media industries.
Dian Liu
Dian Liu is the Director of the Strategic and Macro Research Program at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence Governance of Tsinghua University (I-AIIG), and an Associate Research Fellow at the China Institute of Fudan University. He also serves as a researcher at the Key Laboratory of Legal Governance and Management of Industrial and Informationization under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. His publications include New Quality Productive Forces: New Drivers of China's Economic Development. His main research interests lie in digital economic governance, digital currency, internet and data governance, and international political economy. He has undertaken research projects commissioned by ministries such as the National Development and Reform Commission, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Cyberspace Administration of China, as well as by Beijing's high-level think tanks, producing policy research results that have received significant attention. Currently, he is responsible for managing the "Global AI Strategy Insight" project at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence Governance of Tsinghua University.
Sarah Wang
Sarah Wang has over ten years of experience in the fields of machine learning and data analysis, having worked in both the financial and technology sectors. In recent years, she has been serving as a Tech Lead at a leading technology company. Her core technical areas include machine learning recommendation algorithms related to advertising and e-commerce, relevance analysis, and the design of North Star metrics, among others. She has also successfully led teams in developing and launching products from scratch and has established data foundations and teams for core business operations. Sarah obtained her Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Computational Science from the University of Pennsylvania, USA, and her Bachelor's degree from the School of Mathematical Sciences at Peking University, China.
Michele Wucker
Strategic advisor, educator, and best-selling author Michele Wucker coined the term “gray rhino” as a call to improve people’s responses to obvious, probable, impactful yet all too often neglected risks. She has published four books including the influential global best-seller, The Gray Rhino, and the sequel,You Are What you Risk. A sought-after speaker specialized in the global economy, public policy, decision-making, and risk governance, Ms Wucker is founder of the strategic advisory firm Gray Rhino & Company and a former think tank and media CEO. She teaches Global Risk Policy at the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy.
