H-1B policy changes in 2025 have brought a lot of changes to the hiring of skilled labor in the US. While good for some groups, such as high-earning masters students, does this change represent a positive direction for the economy and other domestic workers in general? How will labor markets and innovation react in the long-term? How will future cohorts of international student populations be shaped?

Join us for a lunchtime discussion (food provided!) in Harper where students will break out into small group discussions about the benefits and drawbacks of limiting skilled immigration, prioritizing higher earners, and adjusting pathways for work authorization. We hope students bring personal perspectives to the discussion.
