Habitat For Humanity Build Day

Join us for a volunteer day to help build homes for Chicagoans in need! We'll be helping to build a house (interior work) in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago.

Please only sign up if you can commit to volunteering for the full day (7:45 am - 3 pm). The build site is accessible via the green line - we will leave MPP promptly at 7:00AM if you'd like to join us via train. If you'd like to drive, there is free street parking near the build site.

Given the weather, we will be working inside the house. Please wear closed-toed shoes (boots or tennis shoes), dress for the weather, avoid loose clothing or jewelry, and bring enough water for the day. Giving Something Back will provide lunch.

The registration deadline for your build day is 11/09/2024. Volunteers who do not register in advance on the provided link cannot participate on the building site day of, and any additional unregistered guests who arrive on site day of will be turned away for safety and liability reasons. Face masks are recommended when working indoors.
