Mission JBSA fosters Jewish life at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business by offering cultural, social, religious, and educational activities to the Booth Jewish community, including partners, family, and friends.
Membership BenefitsSocial GatheringsJBSA holds multiple social events each quarter, where you can have fun and get to know your fellow members. Our quarterly Shabbat dinners are a fun opportunity to take a break from the busy week of classes, recruiting, and everything in between. Previous events have included BBQs, happy hours, and Purim and Hanukkah parties.Cultural ActivitiesIn fall quarter, celebrate Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, and Hanukkah with JBSA. In winter quarter, get ready to party it up with JBSA for Purim and enjoy a memorable seder for Passover. In the spring, we will celebrate Yom HaAtzmaut (Israeli Independence Day) and observe other important holidays like Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) and Yom HaZikaron (Israeli Memorial Day).Thought-Provoking SpeakersJBSA brings speakers to campus to share their thoughts and provoke conversation on a range of topics, from Jews in business to Holocaust education.Note for E/W students: JBSA events are usually held either at a Loop location or at Harper Center.
