The Student Advisory Council, in collaboration with 10+ career-focused student groups and with support from Career Services, invites you to SAC Career Week 2023 – a weeklong series of programming to support Boothies pursuing market-based, experienced-hire career paths. Each panel discussion will bring together professionals from a different industry and/or function to share their expertise and insights from the field to support students advance in their careers.

From Monday to Friday, panel discussion will occur over Zoom to provide the most accessible option for all evening and weekend students. On Saturday afternoon, we will host a handful of concurrent, in-person panel discussions with lunch provided. Please join us! 

Goals
  • Gain insights from a range of industries and functions to advance your market-based job search.
  • Learn about the nuances and opportunities from experienced professionals that will help you position yourself and skills.
  • Meet with professionals and alumni to grow and cultivate future potential advocates. 
  • Expand your understanding of various industries and functions as you navigate your time at Booth.

Investing Across the Impact Capital Spectrum at Builders Initiative (SAC Career Week)

Join Booth Impact Investing and the Student Advisory Council for a fireside chat with Sara Balawajder at Builders Initiative. Builder's has committed 90% of its endowment to mission-related investments. As VP of Investments, Sara helps manage the $1B endowment, allocating capital across impact asset classes. Sara will share how her strategy of investing direct equity into early stage companies, creative debt financing, innovative fund structures, and LP commitments to emerging fund managers all play a role in creating financial and impact returns. We'll also cover the many pathways into the impact investing ecosystem for MBA grads.
