Shape Your Summer (Tue. May 10th) 

First-years, if you are wondering how to make the most of your summer, be sure to join Career Services and a diverse panel of second-year students for a lively discussion. Shape Your Summer takes place on Tuesday, May 10th from 11:45 AM to 1:15 PM in Harper C25. The panel will discuss ways to prepare for your internship, challenges you may encounter, how to effectively resolve those challenges, and lessons learned. They will also share key recruiting information such that you can be prepared for the fall and full-time recruiting. Please register in GTS via the Programs tab as lunch is provided.

DreamWorks Animation Bought by Comcast in $3.8Bn Deal

On Thursday 4/28, DreamWorks officially sold itself off to Comcast's NBCUniversal for $3.8Bn. NBCUniversal aims to leverage DreamWorks brands including Kung Fu Panda, How To Train Your Dragon, and Shrek to further expand into theme parks, toys, and children's television.

How Beyonce Shook Up the Music Industry (Again) with 'Lemonade'

Beyonce's sixth solo album, Lemonade and its one-hour visual accompaniment, released exclusively on Jay Z-owned Tidal last week, have shown tremendous success, with upwards of 450,000 albums sold as of week ending 4/28, and over 1.8M tweets referencing Beyonce the day of release. Tidal's high-profile exclusives (including Prince's 300-digital song catalog and Kanye West's The Life of Pablo) have tripled its subscriber base to 3M between September 2015 and March 2016, lighting a fire under competitor streaming services Spotify and Apple Music.
