[Internship] Washington Nationals Strategic Analysis Internship

Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Analytics, the Intern serves as an integral part of our primary research and analysis function. The Intern will also be responsible for maintaining complex ticket sales and attendance models which are utilized for up-to-date reporting to ownership. These models will require conducting statistical regression analyses of ticket sales and attendance trends as well as customer profiling. The Intern will be challenged to handle numerous internal data sources as well new external ones provided by the MLB League Office and external vendors such as Stratbridge.  Internship begins in March and ends in October with an expected committment of 30 hours per week.


[Internship] New York Times MBA Summer Internship - Strategy & Development

The Strategy group is a nimble team that works with the CEO and numerous business unit heads to set strategic priorities and provide meaningful analysis and recommendations to grow the business. The Development team performs all partnership management, venture investing, mergers and acquisitions and day-to-day business development activities for the most strategic operating units within the Company. MBA Interns will work with the broader S&D team to complete at least one high-impact project over the course of the summer in Strategy, Development, or across both areas, as well as smaller projects as needed. The intern will be assigned to projects with one or more of our major business units (Advertising, Marketing, Print Operations, Product, Sales or Technology). Examples of previous intern projects include recommending a path forward in mobile payments, managing a comprehensive quantitative survey of our print subscribers and extracting important takeaways, and assessing the structure and impact of our technology organization.

Manager, Finance is a partner to the business with a global, strategic view, supporting a major functional area that includes a business, line of business, or functional area and is responsible for managing, administering, and directing financial and business objectives and processes. This Manager, Finance role supporting the Facilities and Operations Services (“FOS) and Risk Management Businesses at Disneyland Resort (“DLR”), leads a team of 6 salaried Cast Members and services 10 Operating Executives. The FOS businesses supported are Engineering Services, Central Shops, Textiles, Distribution Services, Horticulture, Facilities Asset Management, and Property Management (combined gross cost base $380M+). This position is responsible for coordinating and consolidating the planning and forecast processes for those businesses, including the FYP, AOP, Capital and Forecast. The role manages complex financial analysis, provides pro forma support and develops senior executive-level PowerPoint presentations for all new initiatives within these areas.

The Associate Director will oversee financial planning functions for the Worldwide Catalog and Television physical and digital (EST/VOD/PPV) distribution businesses, including monthly, quarterly and annual budgets/forecasts, studio ultimate updates and performance reporting. The Associate Director will play a key role in the decision making processes for important Catalog & TV go-to-market strategies and work closely with Home Entertainment Fox Executives, territory Finance/Accounting teams and the management teams of several television studios (e.g. TCFTV, FX, FTVS) and 3rd party stakeholders. [Internship] Major League Baseball MBA Summer Internships (due Mar 15)

The Summer Internship Program (the ‘Program’) is designed to provide exceptional students, who are interested in a career in sports, with a unique opportunity to learn about the diverse business operations of Major League Baseball.  Those candidates selected for the Program will gain invaluable work experience through challenging project assignments, information sessions hosted by MLB senior management, and various other events organized by the recruitment team.

[Internship] Chicago Cubs MBA Summer Associate - Marketing + Strategy & Development (due Mar 31)

Marketing: The Chicago Cubs are looking for a high performing summer associate for their Marketing department. Over the course of 10 weeks, the associate will work closely with the Marketing and Ticketing Departments to research and develop recommendations on two potential new strategic initiatives for the Chicago Cubs for launch in 2016.

Strategy & Development: The Strategy & Development Group functions as an internal strategy consulting and corporate finance group focused on delivering insights and analyses that drive both current performance and long-term corporate health (e.g., strategic planning, asset allocation, benchmarking, and deal structuring). Over approximately 10 weeks, the Summer Associate will work closely with the Strategy & Development group on projects that have strategic, operational or financial significance to the company. [Internship] Dick's Sporting Goods Brand Marketing MBA Internship

During the program, interns will work closely with the VP and Directors of Brand Marketing. Interns will also be assigned a separate senior leader who will act as a mentor to aid in transition to the corporate culture, explore career goals, and provide the opportunity to develop professional and social networks within the company and the retail industry.

Interns will also have the opportunity meet individually with the CEO at the midway point to discuss their project and progress to date. The final deliverable will be a presentation to the CEO and other senior leaders who were project stakeholders.
