TPG's Pro Scout School (Mon. July 11th - Tues. July 12th)
For those seeking careers in sports or sports media, TPG's Pro Scout School conference in Las Vegas offers first-hand insight into the world of professional basketball. Sessions include the GM experience (a conversation with two NBA general managers), the president/CEO experience (discussions with individuals running the business side of NBA teams), the media & broadcasting experience, and the sales & marketing experience.

How Philippe Dauman Is Playing His Cards in the Fight for Viacom
Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman has been replaced as a trustee of Sumner Redstone's National Amusements trust, which retains control of Redstone's media empire encompassing both Viacom and CBS. Dauman is fighting back with a lawsuit, arguing that Sumner is being manipulated by his daughter, Shari. Dauman's future is ultimately up to Viacom's shareholders. Read more here.
