About Us

The Booth Low-Income / First-Generation Group (LFG) is an organization for students from first-generation and / or low-income (FLI) backgrounds and their allies. Our purpose is to create a strong network at Booth and across The University of Chicago in order to share personal experiences, promote resources and discussion, and cultivate a sense of community. We aim to "pay it forward" by working with Booth admissions to increase the representation of FLI-identifying students and by supporting local community groups that seek to increase access for the socioeconomically disadvantaged.
