Wellness Coaching

Wellness Coaching at Booth is designed to help you improve in areas of your overall well-being that may be hindering you from achieving personal or professional goals.  Using a strengths-based approach, wellness coaches will partner with you to explore where you are doing well and where you may be struggling in relation to your well-being, and provide you with the tools needed to meet your goals.

  1. 1

    Assessment and Exploration

During the first few sessions, you will complete an assessment to explore your current  level of  satisfaction  within the different wellness dimensions. We will also explore your strengths, values, and passions.

  2. 2

    Goal Setting + Practice

Together we will design some end goals to work towards. Incorporating your unique strengths, we will then agree on some practices to help you to accomplish the set goals. Goals and practices may be adjusted as progress ensues.

  3. 3

    Sustaining Change Post-Coaching

Once you are equipped with the tools to thrive in different wellness dimensions, we will create a plan that enables you to continuing reaching your goals after coaching ends.

Coaching v. Therapy

You or someone you know may see a therapist. Therapy can take many different forms and can be a great help for students who are struggling with mental health.

It is important to note that Wellness Coaching at Booth is not therapy. While wellness coaches will happily explore different areas of wellness that you may be struggling with (i.e. time management, relationships, or sleep patterns) and provide expert tools tailored for MBA students, they are not there to diagnose and provide interventions for serious mental health issues.

This being said, there are a variety of different mental health therapy resources through the University of Chicago that will be shared with you - all of which are great options to explore in addition to Wellness Coaching!
