The Innovation & Design Club (IDC) hosts an annual Booth Innovation Challenge, a design thinking competition that brings together top talent students with different backgrounds. If you’re an undergrad, MBA, PhD, or any other student affiliated to The University of Chicago, you’re invited to be part of this challenge!
You and your group will tackle a real-world problem while learning about the design thinking process and strengthening your design skill set.

Every year a new sponsor is selected to provide a challenge for teams to address.
The challenge prompts provides a real-life complex problem that teams of students get to work on for the duration of the challenge.
A series of workshops on design thinking tools and processes will be hosted by IDC.
Topics will cover user research, interviewing, prototyping, ideation, and solution viability.
Get ready to compete and learn from other teams across the different programs at University of Chicago.
All teams will present their journey and winning idea during final presentation to a panel of judges from Booth and Chicago design community.
