Jamil Soriano

Jamil Soriano is a Vice President at Ariel Investments, where he focuses on consumer products & services and financial services as a research analyst. He joined Ariel full-time in July 2012 after participating in our summer internship program in 2011. Prior to Ariel, he worked in the investment banking and debt capital markets divisions at Credit Suisse Securities, and later as an investment analyst for Brown Bear Capital Management LLC. Before entering the financial services industry, he was a player for several teams in the National Football League, including a season with the 2003-04 Super Bowl winning New England Patriots. Jamil earned his AB in biological sciences from Harvard and his MBA with honors from the University of Chicago.

Aaron Diaz Bianco, JD/CFA

Aaron is a research analyst at Ariel Investments, where he focuses on the infrastructure and technology sectors across our domestic strategies. He joined Ariel in 2014 as a summer intern and returned as a full-time research analyst in 2015. Prior to joining the firm, he served as an investment banking analyst at Barclays and corporate attorney at Jones Day. Aaron graduated with an AB in politics from Princeton University. Additionally, he earned his MBA in analytic finance and accounting from the University of Chicago, and holds a JD from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. Aaron is also a member of American Mensa, Ltd.

Chace Brundige, CFA

Chace Brundige is co-portfolio manager of Ivy Asset Strategy Fund and Ivy VIP Asset Strategy since 2014. He was named a portfolio manager of Ivy VIP Pathfinder Portfolios and InvestEd Portfolios in 2016. Mr. Brundige became a member of the portfolio management team of the Waddell & Reed Advisors Wilshire Global Allocation Fund – which was later merged into the Ivy Wilshire Global Allocation Fund – in 2017. The fund is sub-advised by Wilshire Associates, Inc.

Mr. Brundige joined the organization in 2003 as vice president and assistant portfolio manager to the Large Cap Growth team after a previous tenure with the firm as an equity investment analyst from 1996 to 1999. He was portfolio manager of the firm’s Tax-Managed Equity Fund from 2006 to 2008 and the Global Growth funds from 2009 to 2014. He was appointed senior vice president in 2012.

Mr. Brundige began his investment career at UMB Financial Corp. in 1991. He joined Waddell & Reed as an equity analyst in 1996. He joined TCW/WestBridge Ventures LLC in San Francisco as a vice president and limited partner in 1999. Mr. Brundige was an original member of Trust Company of the West’s venture capital arm. He was a vice president and sector head for Citadel Investment Group in 2001.

Mr. Brundige graduated from Kansas State University in 1991 with a BS in Finance. He earned an MBA with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 1996. Mr. Brundige is a CFA charter holder.

Victor Lee, CFA

Victor Lee is an investment analyst at Ivy Investment Management. His research responsibilities are concentrated in consumer discretionary (distributors, internet and direct marketing retail, multiline retail, specialty retail) and consumer staples (food and staples retailing).

Mr. Lee earned an MBA with High Honors from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business in June 2017. During his time at Booth, he summer interned at Sirios Capital Management in Boston, and held a part-time analyst position at Cedar Street Asset Management LLC in Chicago. He earned a BS in Industrial Engineering in 2011 from Seoul National University in Korea.

Prior to his MBA, Mr. Lee worked as a management consultant at Oliver Wyman in Seoul, Korea. He is a CFA charter holder.

Henry Baby, CFA

Henry Baby, CFA, is a domestic small-cap generalist research analyst at William Blair Investment Management. He joined William Blair in December 2014 after running his own firm, Six Corners Capital, for more than five years. Previously, Henry was an equity analyst at RMB Capital Management and Holland Capital Management in Chicago. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Chicago. Henry received a B.S. in finance from Boston College and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

Jon Hussey, CFA

Jon Hussey is an investment analyst covering the agriculture and fertilizer sectors in the U.S. Equity Division. He is a vice president and an Investment Advisory Committee member of the Equity Income, New Era, Small-Cap Value, and Value Funds. Jon also is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc.

Jon has been with T. Rowe Price since 2016, beginning in the U.S. Equity Division. Previously, he was a summer intern at T. Rowe Price. Prior to this, Jon was employed by Driehaus Capital Management as an equity analyst.

Jon earned a Bachelor of Music degree in jazz studies from the University of North Texas and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. John also has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.
