Claire Pawlik

Claire is an MBA candidate at Chicago Booth with experience across several healthcare verticals. Claire began her career as a neuropsychology technician in the Texas Medical Center, where she worked with patients to assess a diverse spectrum of neurological symptoms. She later joined Sg2, a specialized healthcare analytics and consulting firm serving hospital and life sciences clients. Most recently, Claire supported the launch and expansion of clinical pilots as a manager on Blue Cross Blue Shield Association’s Corporate Strategy & Innovation team. Claire graduated from Rice University with a degree in Cognitive Sciences and will be at McKinsey & Company after Booth.

Ellen Lesser

Ellen is a full-time MBA student at Booth with nearly five years of experience working in healthcare. She is also a candidate in the Graduate Program in Healthcare Administration and Policy (GPHAP) focusing on U.S. Healthcare. Ellen is currently an academic scholar with Flare Capital Partners and previously worked as an MBA Associate at 7Wire Ventures, both venture funds focused on digital health. This summer, she worked at Pfizer as a Pharmaceutical Marketing Summer Associate. Prior to Booth, Ellen was a strategy and operations consultant at Deloitte Consulting, serving a range of payer, provider, and PBM clients. Originally from Atlanta, GA, Ellen earned her B.S. in Business Administration from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Jason Lee

Jason studied Materials Science & Engineering and Management Science at MIT, where he worked across a diverse range of industries, including conducting research in immuno-oncology at the David H. Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research. Prior to Booth, Jason was a financial services consultant and pursued his passion for health care in his free time - investing in consumer health companies, advising a fitness tech startup, and becoming a part-time Barry’s instructor. He did a pre-mba internship in healthcare market research that focused on health systems and technology. At Booth, Jason is pursuing opportunities to solve problems at the intersection of science, technology, and consumerism. He is a George Shultz Innovation Fund Associate at the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and worked at Genentech for his MBA summer.

Korben Knudson

Korben is a full-time MBA student at Chicago Booth. He has spent the majority of his career as a chemistry, manufacturing, and controls consultant helping his clients’ life science products progress through clinical phases. Korben is interested in better understanding the incentives and costs throughout the US healthcare industry and how they both play a role in value-based care. He is currently focusing his studies on business strategy and operations management. Korben graduated from the University of Colorado in 2013 with a degree in biological and chemical engineering. He will be at Oliver Wyman after Booth.

Guy Karim Caland Puymartin

Guy is a full-time MBA Candidate at the Booth School of Business exploring venture capital and operations. He is passionate about value-based healthcare, care delivery, digital health, and medical diagnostics. Prior to Booth, Guy worked in corporate strategy and product development roles at CVS Health, supporting the pharmacy, primary care, and health insurance business units. After contributing to the strategic rationale for the Aetna acquisition, Guy joined the integration team and helped capture synergies between CVS and Aetna by developing new pharmacy services to reduce hospital readmissions. Guy received his B.S. in Mathematics with specialization in Economics from the University of Chicago.

Tanay Kulkarni

Tanay is a full-time MBA student at Chicago Booth and will graduate in June 2021. Tanay started off his career in medical devices, focused on quality assurance and process improvement in manufacturing at Terumo Cardiovascular Systems in Michigan. He also did an internship in Boston, gaining experience in both operations and strategy for a Series B start-up, DOTS Technology. Tanay is passionate about the intersection of healthcare and technology. Tanay spent his MBA summer in California at Apple. He holds both a master's and bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Sarika Asthana

Sarika is a full-time MBA student at Booth, graduating in June 2021. Previously, Sarika was a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers based in San Francisco, where she primarily advised healthcare payer clients on social determinants of health strategies and operational technology implementation projects. She also worked at a healthcare medical device startup, CognifiSense, as an intern. She has a passion for biotech, medical devices, and healthcare innovation. Sarika graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and will be at Genentech in South San Francisco following Booth.
