Come join current students and alumni in NYC for an evening checking out the incredible views of Hudson River Park, the NYC skyline, as well as the food hall! Some snacks and food will be provided (TBD availability at Market 57)

Join SAC Philanthropy and the Corporate Sustainability Club for a Beach Cleanup! We will be joining Shedd Aquarium staff and other volunteers to help with a beach cleanup at 63rd Street Beach. We will be given bags, gloves, and a litter monitoring form for the cleanup, which will last about an hour. We will finish the beach clean-up by tallying up our litter totals and submitting the forms, which Shedd staff will enter into a database of materials found in clean-ups across the Great Lakes that is used to inform decisions for policy and effective coastal management. In addition to the beach clean-up, we may also be able to help with habitat restoration by hand pulling and bagging invasive plant species, such as sweet clover and horseweed, or seed collecting. We will meet at Gleacher at 9:15 am to carpool down to 63rd Street Beach, the cleanup starts at 10 am. Feel free to email or slack Diana Sanborn or Paul Salach with any questions.
