In a complex, cumbersome, and fragmented healthcare system, many organizations turn toward technology to overcome challenges to the US healthcare system. In an increasingly crowded space, it is important to identify which innovations have staying power and can transform the healthcare system — essentially, what technologies will define the future of our healthcare system?
This conference will explore how incumbents and disruptors across the healthcare ecosystem utilize and understand key technologies vital to improving care quality, increasing access, facilitating interoperability, bridging disparities, and otherwise creating value for patients.
We have an extremely exciting lineup of panelists and facilitators coming from the front end of various sub-verticals in the healthcare industry. Learn more >>
Our panelists and facilitators come from the following organizations (non-exhaustive):
We feature up-and-coming healthcare disruptors to the scene to showcase their innovative models, and to present partnership and career opportunities.
Zuri Fertility: At Zuri, we understand the struggles couples go through when trying to start a family. That's why we're dedicated to providing end-to-end support during this time of need. Our goal is to empower couples to take control of their fertility by giving them access to the support and resources they need. Our unique approach includes telehealth and home testing, education, longitudinal support, and care coordination. These four pillars work together to give couples the best possible chance of success.
Flow Medical: Flow Medical is enabling data driven pulmonary embolism (PE) interventions. Flow's next generation lytic catheter combines real time feedback and advanced engineering to improve the safety and efficacy of interventional PE treatment. Our founders, an interventional cardiologist and interventional radiologist at the University of Chicago, see daily that the current standard of care leads to preventable readmissions and complications. We are working to raise the standard of PE care with a smart catheter that ties treatment decisions to an individual patient's needs.
Rhaeos: Rhaeos is a VC backed, clinical stage medical device company developing FlowSense®, a proprietary platform technology and a noninvasive wireless, wearable skin patch that can assess and monitor fluid flow subdermally throughout the body. The company is initially targeting hydrocephalus, a life-threatening condition caused by an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Implantable shunts, the gold standard treatment, often fail, leading to multiple trips to the emergency room and repeat surgeries. There is no technology available today that can easily assess CSF flow in shunts wirelessly, bedside, and without capital equipment until now.
The Conference is organized, executed, and supported by Booth full-time MBA students who are HCG members.
